Boise, Idaho, May 2025

We left Colorado on April 30th and drove 800 miles to Susan’s sister’s home in Boise, Idaho. We did that drive in one day and we do NOT recommend that. In Boise we toured the spectacular World Center for Birds of Prey. The 2-foot tall Harpy Eagle was stunner – throwing sort of a punk rock vibe. Visited the Botanical Gardens located at the edge of the Old Idaho Penitentiary grounds and actually saw a bobcat run through it – did not get the camera out in time. There was a nice display about Sakagawea and an astonishing life size gorgeous statue of her. Rode our bicycles out to Lucky Peak Reservoir and then back into town, circling the famous Bronco Blue astro-turf stadium. Did some beer tasting and some cider tasting before heading on to Washington State.
